Mannequin Collection Item #005-002
Simply Stunning Vintage 1930's Sears Roebuck Mannequin Dress Form......
This design and style of mannequin is ORIGINAL to A Rose Without A Thorn and hopefully you will not see it
copied elsewhere. I have put many hours of design and detail into this mannequin and
others and the corset details are
my trademark. I hope that you love this design also......
My mannequins are now in private collections all over the world and they are also displayed in many
chic boutiques and stores, my first store was Electric Ladyland in Arizona and since then there have
been others. My mannequins have also appeared in national decorating magazines for the romantic home.
This mannequin is from the 1930's and I was told when I purchased it that it was originally a early
Sear's Roebuck store mannequin and it was expensive to purchase and should not be confused with mass produced
ones from china. The body is paper mache and it has a beautiful all original wood stand and crown, these
have been painted a crisp white and compliment the main dress form......
The main torso has been hand painted by me with petite rosebuds and has been made to look like vintage rose
ticking fabric, and yes, it is not fabric, it is all hand painted and took a long time. Even the row of little
mother of pearl buttons down the front are hand painted and not real, this is truly a mannequin to remember
and cherish. The upper torso has been decoupaged in pale pink and then new and vintage linens have been added
in layers to resemble a beautiful antique top. There is a stunningly beautiful vintage rhinestone pin decorating
the front bodice and yards and yards of trim have been used. There are lots of Venice roses scattered across the
corset and bodice and the rear of the mannequin has a real corset back with pale pink ribbon to lace it up. This
is sure to become a family heirloom and is just waiting for your romantic home or chic boutique. I only make a
few of these a year because of the labor involved so try not to miss out on this one......
The dimensions are a petite 34" x 24" x 33", the mannequin can be raised and lowered in height......
Only the items mentioned are for sale all other items are for decorative purposes only......
