Hello and welcome to everyone who has taken the time to read this 'About Us' page. I would like to introduce myself to you and to spend a few minutes on the concept of 'A Rose Without A Thorn'. I love anything that is vintage, pretty and a little bit worn, with plenty of charm and character remaining, from these wonderful old things I love to create soft furnishings for the home.

I especially love anything with a certain quirky charm (have I introduced you to my husband, a little bit worn with plenty of character remaining!!!) sorry ladies unable to help myself. Anyway I digress, my style is definitely vintage but with a certain sophistication thrown in. I like to make pillows with lovely vintage finds that I have collected from many years of traveling and snapping up anything unusual or beautiful that I have come across, with this in mind many of my designs are one offs. These vintage finds are then incorporated into wonderful pillows with a strong emphasis on structure and tailoring. I pride myself on providing a high quality design and believe that the time spent on the inside of the pillow is as important as the outside design, and is then reflected in the finished item.

You will find many different styles and colors in my collection and that is one thing that is important to me, the use of color. I am first and foremost an artist and the use of color plays a large part in my design concept. You will find on this website everything that I would love to have in my own home and do, if I cannot love something enough to have it in my own home then how could I expect it to be in yours. Through time you will see new additions to 'A Rose Without A Thorn' as I become inspired by new ideas.
